Makes 1 serving of cereal
Ingredients
• 1/4 cup quick-cooking pearl barley
• 1 1/4cups milk (use one suitable for your child's age)
• 1/2 banana, peeled and mashed
Method
1. Place the barley and milk in a saucepan and cook over medium heat for 20 to 25 minutes, or until the barley is soft. Taste to ensure that barley is not too crunchy.
2. Add the mashed banana, stir and cook for another 30 seconds.
3. Remove saucepan from the heat and serve warm.
