This is a healthy version of the commonly eaten fried snack found in many homes especially during the festive seasons. Most of the time the filling for these fried mini-popiahs is 'sambal udang' or spicy prawn floss. This is a kid friendly version, packed with protein and non-spicy.

Best of all it is not fried! So, you can rest easy when you watch them gobble these up. It is a good way to get kids who refuse to eat meat to have some in their diet.

Ingredients

• 1 packet of popiah skin 12cm x 12cm (egg-less type)

• 1 packet meat floss (pork, chicken or fish)

• Water for sticking

Method

1. Use a pair of dry kitchen scissors and cut a piece of popiah skin into quarters. You will get 4 small squares.

2. Place one of the cut popiah skin like a diamond shape in front of you. That is, top corner and bottom corner with 2 left and right corners.

3. Spoon about 1/2 teaspoon of meat floss near the bottom corner.

4. Fold in side corners towards the middle.

5. Roll bottom corner upwards, enveloping meat floss.

6. Stick top corner down onto the roll with some water.

7. Set aside and repeat all steps until you get the amount you want.

8. Place meat floss rolls on a tray and toast for about 5 minutes in an oven toaster.

9. Cool and store in an air tight container.
