These cute little scones are the perfectly sized for toddlers and young children. They make a delicious and nutritious snack as each one is high in protein and an excellent source of calcium for healthy teeth and bones.
Best of all they are very easy and quick to make. Another great recipe to make and enjoy together with your child.
Ingredients
• 1 cup self raising flour
• 1/2 cup grated cheese (firmly packed)
• 1 1/2 tbsp unsalted butter
• 100ml skimmed milk
• Makes about 10 mini scones
Method
1. Mix cheese into flour and rub in butter.
2. Add milk gradually to get a "kneadable" dough.
3. Roll dough flat to about 1.5 cm thick.
4. Cut with a round cookie cutter, 4cm in diameter.
5. Place about 2-3 cm apart on a greased baking tray.
6. Bake at 180°C till golden brown.
7. Yummy on its own or serve hot with butter and vegemite.
