Nutritious low fat chocolate cake

This is an easy little cake to make. Great for kids to bake together with adult supervision. It is low in fat and high in omega 3 fatty acids that are important for brain development. This recipe also makes a highly nutritious treat as it is bursting with calcium and chock full of vitamins and minerals.



Best of all it is very yummy and can be used as a cute little birthday cake for a party of 4-6 little kids.



Ingredients


• 1 1/4 cup self raising flour

• 1/4 cup sugar

• 2/3 cup Dugro Chocolate flavour growing up milk powder

• 1/2 cup skimmed milk

• 1/4 cup canola oil

• 1 tsp vanilla extract (optional)



Method


1. Pre heat oven to 170 °C.

2. Grease and flour a small 6 inch cake pan.

3. Mix flour, milk powder and sugar together.

4. Add oil then milk. Mix with a wooden ladle.

5. Add vanilla if desired.

6. Pour into cake pan and bake for about 20 minutes.
