Suitable for toddlers and older children
Makes 2 servings
Ingredients
• 1 small carrot, finely shredded
• 1/2 to 1 apple, finely shredded
• 2 toddler portions of canned tuna (preferably in brine/water)
• 2 tablespoons yoghurt
• 1/2 teaspoon ketchup (optional)
• 2 small pita bread (or English muffins, or any other bread)
Method
1. Finely shred the carrot and apple.
2. In a bowl, blend together the tuna and apple/carrot slices.
3. Mix in yogurt. You can also add some ketchup, for taste, if you wish.
4. Cut the pita into two halves. Fill the pita pockets with the tuna, apple and carrot fillings.
Cut pita pockets into small wedges and serve.
