There's no need for your bb to drink ribena at such young age! I'm not sure whether can or cannot. But I dun see the need at all. For one thing, it just spoil his taste buds. He may develop a sweet tooth and refuses to drink plain water. Plain water is still best. If he doesn't reject plain water, just let him drink plain water.

RibenaI tink better dont cos it might trigger phelgm..
Re: Ribena thks for ur pointers.. cos bb takes plain water but not much... so hoping some mild taste can simulate him
Ribena for new bornI feel that it is too early to give a new born ribena or glucose. I share same opinion with the others that plain water is the best for new born other than breastmilk. For my three kids, I gave them plain water until they are about 5 mths old then I slowly start to introduce other infant food.
Some plain water is better than nothing at all so don't let your baby acquire sweet tooth as he may then reject plain water. Any of you heard of gripe water? It smells sweet and is popular with old folks who say it expels air. My baby's former pd however said that it creates gas. Any advice?
Ribena for new bornYup heard of gripe water. If I'm not mistaken, its for constipation.
Re: gripe water creates gas??? \"A traditional European remedy, gripe water contains safe, fast, effective, natural ingredients for relieving colic
Yup, he said the bicarbonate soda in gripe water will create gas. It is therefore to create gas for the baby to release. Anyway, I'm still using gripe water as my mum insists.
Hmm.... how abt Derosa? Rich in Vit C & yummy. I tot of givin my girl after she's 1yr.
my BB too smart... feed plain water, after a few suck, reject already
