I had both my babies at Mt E. Here're a list of things you're advised to bring, even though Mt E provides almost everything you need (at a cost of coz but for convenience you wouldn't care much... really) including disposable bedrm slippers!
For mummy:
- 2 Nightdresses (those with front openings to facilitate breastfeeding)
- Slippers/shoes (when you walk ard to look at baby in the nursery & when you go for breastfeeding classes in the morning)
- Socks (in case you feel cold in labour, but you definitely dun need them after you deliver, almost all women feel warm after they'd delivered)
- 1 set bra pads (in case your breast leak when you go home)
- 1 pack sanitary towels (in case you use more than what the hospital provides. they charge a hefty price if you ask for more than what they provide)
- lip balm / hand cream
- face toiletries (Mt E provides only basic bathrm toiletries, unless you WANT to bathe using your own)
- comb & hair accessories & makeup (to look good when visitors pop by)
- going home outfit (needed unless you dun mind wearing the one you wore to the hospital, they have a wardrobe in the room)
For baby:
- 1 set of mittens & booties
- going home top or rompers (try premature sizes, coz newborns are really small, unless you've a big baby, they dun need pants coz they will be wrapped up in cloth anyway)
- going home wrap cloth (but you can consider buying the animal printed ones Mt E uses which cost $6 per pc)
- a cap (in case your baby has little 'crowning glory')
Remember... dun ask for more than what they give ... Mt E won't give extras unless you ask & at a hefty price compared to those sold in supermarkets even though they're exactly the same. unless you dun mind paying for more. Nevertheless, it's really a breeze staying at Mt E, it's like a high class hotel with excellent service. their single rooms are said to be the biggest in Spore. I dun know abt the rest coz I stayed in the singles.
Hope I helped in lessening your worry with my comments.
