Constipation remedies for your toddler
Your toddler may become constipated if his diet is lacking in fibre. Try any of the following gentle remedies to ease his bowel movements:
• Encourage more fluids - water, barley water, milk, soybean milk, soup, juice, etc
• Increase fruit and vegetable intake
• Offer a small glass of freshly squeezed orange juice or prune juice
• Add some raisins, sliced bananas or chopped prunes into your child's breakfast cereals.
• Alternate white bread with wholemeal ones
• Include some beans into his diet - e.g. baked beans on toast for breakfast If constipation persists, consult your family doctor.
