Cultivating water drinking habit in baby

Many children grow up disliking the taste of water, unless it is sweetened and flavoured. To inculcate the love for water, here's a simple but useful tip:

After every milk feed, make it a habit of feeding some water to your baby. If you breast-feed your baby, feed water using a teaspoon and if your baby is bottle-fed, feed using the bottle.

Eventually, your baby will get used to the taste of plain water. This is also a good way of cleaning your baby's mouth after a milk feed.
