Most kids love fruit juices, for their sweet taste. They are a good source of vitamin C. However, drinking too much juice may leave very little room for other foods such as milk and solid foods. Moreover, the high sugar content of juices might induce diarrhoea in some children.
Therefore, over the course of a day, feed no more than ½ to 1 cup and never as a replacement for milk or solids. Avoid feeding juice in bottles and serve only ¼ to ½ cup at a time.
