How to build up your confidence

Right now you probably have a million and one questions about the stages of labour and what happens during birth. But you probably know more than you think.

Go through your birth plan again. If you’ve not done so, you can download a copy of Birth Plan here. Nothing gives you more confidence than being prepared so you may find our section on the three stages of labour useful too. Most importantly, don’t bottle it up! Talk to your partner or doctor about your concerns or why not chat to other mums-to-be in our forums, it really does help.

Reassure Him Before The Birth

Because mums are usually the focus of attention before the baby is born, dads can feel a bit lost. Involving your partner also means thinking about things like saying "We're pregnant" even if you think it sounds silly!
