Breastfeeding is the best for babies and a healthy diet / maternal nutrition is important when breastfeeding. A decision not to breastfeed can be difficult to reverse. Infant formula is suitable from birth when babies are not breastfed. It is recommended that all formula milks be used on the advice of a doctor, midwife, health visitor, public health nurse, dietitian, pharmacist, or other professional responsible for maternal and child care and the financial implications should be considered. All preparation and feeding instructions should be followed carefully as inappropriate preparation could lead to health hazards.

"And if you are kind of worried when the little one is not moving much, try lying down on the bed and turn left or right. I find that my little one will moves more when I do that during sleeping time. Normal days when you are walking, the movement of the little one tends to be felt less though. I guess cos it "rocks" the little one to sleep when we moves alot. =p"

"Due to the limited spaces available as the little one grows, i guess movement will be quite limited. I am going through this phase now too...my little one will keep moving around just that you won't feel the kicking much anymore but instead is the whole movement of the little body and you can really see the shape of your stomach changing some days. Haha. I will run to my husband to show him when the little one moves rapidly."

"For me, I feel that the kick is more frequent as my baby grows especially after a meal or when I am sitting in front of a computer. I find that jotting down when I can feel the baby's kick helps to reassure that my baby is fine after 32 weeks pregnant."

"His "playground" has lesser space for him to move when he grows bigger. As long as he is kicking on and off, it should not be a problem. If he does not move for very long period of time, then it is the time to see doctor."

"It is very much normal for baby's kick to get less distinct. As the little one grows the space for his moments in the womb becomes less. His kick would not be a hard one but you can feel his moment like his elbow, his head & even his feet and even there hicupps. They would even get excited if u hv had something very delicious (as they all hv good taste buds). or you are very excited. If you want to try talk to the little angel and will answer you with his moments as they understand alot. Live this moment to yr fullest as after this you will remember them and smile or pen it down in a dairy. So hv a lovly pregnancy ahead & give birth to a lovly angel who will change yr life......"

"The baby has lesser room to move as he gets bigger & the space inside your tummy gets smaller. It's healthy for the baby to move regularly and the sensation should be rather obvious since your tummy is 'compact'. My baby moved a lot and there were many occasions when I could see very drastic or obvious movements; my tummy had awkward shapes due to his movements. On some days, my tummy was lopsided!"

"The baby will get lesser space to move around when he/she gets bigger, but you will feel the movement is more obvious. For me, I can feel the movement in the 4th mth, though it was my first pregnancy. And I can feel my angel hiccup (feel like a heartbeat in my belly) almost everyday during the 3rd trimester. Try talk /sing to your baby everyday, they can listen to u, and even respond to you. And remember to get daddy involve too. My angel like her daddy’s voice very much, she’s playing “Tae Kwon Do” in my tummy when she hear her daddy’ voice sometime."

"The quality of fetal movement changes in the late third trimester though the quantity of fetal movement does not change much. The movement becomes less distinct as there is less space within the uterus to initiate movement, though the quantity of movement should be similar. If the perceived fetal movement is drastically less than normal within 2 hours of focused monitoring of the fetal fetal movement by the mother in the third trimester, please report direct to the labour ward for further monitoring of the fetus. Some of the less distinct movements of the fetus may not be felt especially if the mother is not focused. "

"There can be great variations among healthy babies as to how often and how hard they "kick". You may notice that your baby prefers a particular position or has a favorite time of the day to be most active. Generally, moms find their babies are most active after eating a meal, drinking something cold, or after physical activity. More pronounced body movements also are easy to notice when you change from a sitting to a lying position. The baby's movements will also change as he or she grows bigger and gets into position for birth. You will feel fewer big turns and twists, but more kicks and jabs as your pregnancy progresses and your baby has less room to move."

"Yes, its normal. I also encounter the same issue as u. Usually i can feel my baby kick about 3-4times a day, and till i was about 7-8months, i can only feel prob once a day. Initially i was also afraid, but after hearing advice from frens, i feel better n not as worry. As long as u get to feel their kicks once a day, it should be fine. But if u sense something is not wrong, pls approach ur gynae immediately. :) "
