Breastfeeding is the best for babies and a healthy diet / maternal nutrition is important when breastfeeding. A decision not to breastfeed can be difficult to reverse. Infant formula is suitable from birth when babies are not breastfed. It is recommended that all formula milks be used on the advice of a doctor, midwife, health visitor, public health nurse, dietitian, pharmacist, or other professional responsible for maternal and child care and the financial implications should be considered. All preparation and feeding instructions should be followed carefully as inappropriate preparation could lead to health hazards.

"A C-section is major abdominal surgery, and recovery takes longer than a vaginal delivery. How long it takes to stop hurting depends on individual body and the methods taken to ease the pain after the birth. After a C-section, it takes about six weeks healing or more before one can be considered fully recovered. Different women experience the pain differently, so the time it takes to stop hurting varies among mothers. Most women notice a significant reduction in pain a few days after surgery and feel mostly healed by six weeks postpartum. However, some women feel severe pain for up to a week after surgery, while others feel better within days. Soreness and tenderness may last up to eight weeks postpartum and some may continue to feel occasional twinges of pain at their scar site for months afterward."
