Breastfeeding is the best for babies and a healthy diet / maternal nutrition is important when breastfeeding. A decision not to breastfeed can be difficult to reverse. Infant formula is suitable from birth when babies are not breastfed. It is recommended that all formula milks be used on the advice of a doctor, midwife, health visitor, public health nurse, dietitian, pharmacist, or other professional responsible for maternal and child care and the financial implications should be considered. All preparation and feeding instructions should be followed carefully as inappropriate preparation could lead to health hazards.

"I had my confinement in last Nov 2012. The lady is very responsible & handles night feed. Her name is Fang Jie & is also quite a good cook. Her contact: 86164133 & +60162714453. Need to call her early since last Nov, she was already booked till Apr 2013. My experience with her was quite good. She handled my infant son very well so I can have my rest post-delivery. Even though she takes care of night feeds, she only takes a short nap (30mins) in the afternoons but also not every day. Even my hubby (who is quite fussy) is full of praise for her. You can contact me @ maggie78@gmail.com if you need further details."

"My confinement lady, Qin Jie (+601790482891). She was recommended by a midwife nurse in a local hospital to my cousin for her confinement in Oct last year. I got her for my confinement last month. Another relative is going to get her in Sep this year. She is very efficient and 'trains' the baby very well (e.g. feeding times and habits, sleeping through the night, not carrying over the slightest things, bathing), giving us a much easier time now (esp being able to sleep through the night with maximum one feed in between). A thrifty lady who helps to buy and cook good healthy confinement food on a low budget. Besides usual duties of confinement lady, she also cooks for my older daughter (her special requests on days) and husband (vegeterian), helps to send / pick my gal for school bus, bathe her, help to prepare stuff for full month celebration."

"You may also try PEM confinement agency to get a confinement nanny."
Jacqueline Koh Mei Yu answered:
"Wow..even have agency for confinement ladies. I guess going through agency is safer but would it be more expensive?"

"Chun lan is very lazy and calculative. I am using her for my confinement now. However, we find her a nuisance since her second day with us."
